Every guide on HomeRevampDaily goes through review before it is published and when it is updated. This page explains who reviews our content and what the review checks.

Who reviews our guides

Review is led by Tony T. Johnson, founder and lead editor of HomeRevampDaily. Tony sets the site’s editorial standards, checks each guide before publication and is responsible for corrections and updates. You can read more about him on our About page.

What review checks

• Accuracy — steps, measurements and specifications are checked against manufacturer instructions and published standards.
• Safety — warnings, shut-off steps and “call a pro” points are present wherever a job involves electricity, gas, plumbing pressure, structure or hazardous materials.
• Completeness — tools, materials, time and difficulty are stated, and the steps are in workable order.
• Clarity — the guide can be followed by a homeowner doing the job for the first time.
• Currency — older guides are revisited when products, codes or best practice change, and the updated date on the page is refreshed.

How we handle mistakes

If a reader reports an error, the guide is re-checked against its sources. Confirmed errors are corrected and the update is noted on the page. Report a problem at [email protected]. Our full process is described in our Editorial Policy.
